This year, there will be less prostate
cancer deaths than in previous years, and Dr. Richard N. Atkins, National
Prostate Cancer Coalition CEO, attributes
this success to early detection and advances in
Prostate Cancer treatments. With the current trends, he believes
Prostate Cancer will one day be a disease of the past. At present,
Prostate Cancer remains the second deadliest cancer
among American men and the most commonly diagnosed non-skin cancer in American men. Dr. Atkins is very hopeful, and
sees this year's highest
Prostate Cancer survival rates, and lowest
Prostate Cancer death rates, as a bright moment in
the fight against
Prostate Cancer. When
Prostate Cancer is caught in its early stages, the 15-year survival rate is 77
percent, up 15 percent from 2005.
