The 2006
Volvo C70 will start at about $39,880, including $695 for destination,
Volvo announced last week. The
hardtop convertible, which launched at Frankfurt earlier this year, is scheduled to begin selling in the U.S. market in
May. Out of the 16,000 units
Volvo expects to sell, U.S. sales are hoped to count for 8,000 of them. The vehicle
will put out 242 hp with its high-pressure turbocharged 2.5L 5-cylinder engine or 197 with the low pressure
version.
