Tennessee governor Phil Bredesen says that
Toyota is considering two Tennessee locations for its eighth North American vehicle assembly plant. The Guv says that the automaker is considering Chattanooga and Alamo, though
Toyota has yet to narrow it down that far publicly. The plant will be
Toyota's next investment after the
Toyota truck plant opens up in San Antonio, Texas later this year and an engine plant opens up shop in Woodstock, Ontario in 2007. Though he says his state is on the short list, Bredesen says that
Toyota hasn't given him a timeline for when its execs will make a decision.
