Toyota beat Chrysler's sales totals 219,965 to 190,095 in April, part of a larger trend that
showed a bad month for domestics and a good month for
Toyota. It's not the first time it has happened, but it might
just give
Toyota the boost it needs to surpass Chrylser's year-end sales totals. However, Chrysler expects
strong sales of the Caliber and other forthcoming vehicles to edge the littlest member of the Big Three ahead of
Toyota
by year-end.
